Three Types of Responders to Truth

Surah Fatir (35:32) presents a deep principle: whenever Truth is delivered, people fall into three groups —
1. Opposers,
2. Those who take a middle path, and
3. Those who wholeheartedly accept truth and support the dayee.
It is this third group that stands with the caller to truth through trials and tests. They sacrifice comfort, endure hardship, and remain patient. For this steadfast sincerity, God promises them eternal gardens where sorrow will never touch them. Their devotion earns them everlasting peace.

A Dawah Mind Anchored in the Akhirah

These verses remind us that the true dawah mindset is rooted in the Hereafter. A dayee’s inner world revolves around accountability before God. His mission is not motivated by worldly benefit but by the certainty of eternal life. Every step he takes is weighed against the scale of the Akhirah.
Umar bin Abdul Aziz: A Vision Beyond Revenue
When Umar bin Abdul Aziz became caliph, he was told many people were entering Islam only to avoid paying jizya — and that this would reduce state revenue. His reply was historic:
Let them accept Islam, whatever brings them to it. If the treasury becomes empty, so be it. The Prophet was sent as a giver of glad tidings and a warner — not as a tax collector.
This response reflects the prophetic mindset: prioritising eternal success over temporary worldly considerations. When the Akhirah is the focus, material calculations lose their grip.
Clarity of Thought Leads to God-Discovery
A person who consciously prioritises the Hereafter gains clarity. His eyes open to the signs of God around him and within him. The greatest fulfilment is not worldly achievement — it is discovering God. This discovery becomes the fountain of inner peace.

Real Contribution is Ideological, Not Material

The most powerful contribution one can make is not economic or political — but ideological. Right ideas transform hearts, uplift minds, and reshape history. True greatness belongs to those who spread illuminating ideas and guide humanity out of darkness.

The Power of an Idea: A Real Example

In Gulbarga, Karnataka, an SOI magazine once reached a lawyer. He read an article explaining that in a pluralistic society, democracy provides a practical method to manage differences peacefully. The clarity and wisdom of that thought deeply moved him.
This is the silent power of ideology. It can awaken hearts, generate fresh thinking, and leave a legacy far beyond material work. If Muslims recognise the intellectual force within the Qur’an and Hadith and commit to conveying it, they will rise as true achievers — leaders of thought and carriers of light.
